Coaching day-trips are an opportunity to hone existing skills or gain new skills under the guidance of a certified Paddle Canada Instructor. During this experience, you head out onto Georgian Bay at a location of your choice and work on the skills that you are trying to dial in.
Paddlers can benefit from private coaching day-trips for any of the following reasons.
- Rescue Skills. Our students are of all ages and body types. We can work with you to find accessible ways to rescue and stay safe while kayaking.
- General skills tune-up. Keeps your rescue skills sharp and your strokes efficient.
- Navigation. Have our Instructors work you through Navigation exercises in real-world scenarios to help you learn this essential skill.
- Paddle Canada Skills level assessments. Get coaching assistance on skills you need to improve in order to complete conditions on skills courses, or have your skills assessed to plug you into the Paddle Canada system at the right level.
We developed these training days for paddlers who are looking to work on skills and could benefit from the focused attention of an instructor.
Minimum of two paddlers, maximum six. Any skill level.
We have multiple launch locations on Georgian Bay in the Parry Sound area. We can choose the best location based on weather conditions and the paddling environment required to coach the skills you want to learn.
