Great Lakes Tripping Course
One of our most popular Paddle Canada courses, the Great Lakes tripping course/Paddle Canada Level 2 skills, transforms day paddlers into kayak trippers. Along the beautiful and rugged North Shore of Georgian Bay, paddlers gain the skills and experience to head out on overnight trips with friends and paddling clubs.
Immersed in fresh air and the beauty of a wilderness classroom, Paddle Canada Level 2 participants will learn and work together, taking turns on route plans and contingencies, risk management and leadership.
Instead of Paddle Canada’s minimum four-day course with a single overnight, we offer this course over five-days to ensure superior competence, with a spectacular learning environment. Join our experienced, qualified kayak instructors on a multi-day kayak trip.
The course begins on Wednesday morning at 9:00 am but all participants are encouraged to arrive the evening before and book accommodation with us at Harmony Outdoor Inn follow the link to book a spot for Tuesday night. Use the discount code "PClevel2" for a 20% discount off your Tuesday night stay. We will be coaching from here on Wednesday and preparing for our trip. You'll spend Wednesday evening at Harmony Outdoor Inn and then depart for Killarney early Thursday morning. Accommodation is included in the course fees for Wednesday night in our prospector tents on raised platforms. You'll take out from Killarney on Sunday around noon and the final lunch and de-brief is held at Herbert's fish and chips in Killarney town (Please bring cash for this). Students will be ready for departure home at around 3:00 pm.
